Kissimmee - The state of Florida and Osceola County are trying to bring another weapons manufacturer to the area, and officials promise this time the business will follow through on its promise of jobs.
“The fact of the matter is that to be competitive in the region or in the state we have to offer incentives,” Osceola County Commissioner Michael Harford said.
Incentives like offering businesses $250,000 if they create jobs in Osceola County. That’s what Rattlesnake Tactical will get when they relocate. They are promising more higher wage jobs for the area.
This isn’t the first company that’s had financial incentives to move to Osceola County.
Just over three years ago Colt, the firearms manufacturer, was recruited. They have yet to create the jobs they promised. Osceola County hopes things with Rattle Snake Tactical will be different.
“If they aren’t meeting their goals then they won’t get that incentive from us,” Harford said.
By the end of 2015 Rattle Snake Tactical would need to create 15 jobs.  By the end of 2016, they would need to create another 25 jobs and by the end of 2017, another 35. If they don’t meet their deadline each year then they don’t get the state’s and county’s incentive money.
Despite all of the precautions, some of those who live and work near the proposed new site for Rattlesnake Tactical are wondering if those jobs will actually go to people in the area.
“If there were jobs available, but if they aren’t going to give the jobs to us," said resident Shawn Davis, "Then it’s kind of like they are able to make money where we live when we aren’t even able to make money where we live.”
For now though, county leaders said they are hopeful these jobs will help those in Osceola. We’ve also been told that Rattlesnake Tactical is currently going through the permitting process so they can open their manufacturing operations.

Company looks to be FTL based, I recognize the design of their ammo box I think Ammunition Depot was selling it at one point. I'm not sure how this will differ from other operations like Freedom or Georgia Arms. If they can bring ammo at the competitive price they may do well, otherwise I don't see it lasting long, I won't be buying purely because of sales tax.
