THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
I just walked into the Dept. Of Agriculture, licensing office here in Punta Gorda, renewal notice in hand.

Less than 8 minutes and $65 lighter, I'm in my car again, new license in hand.

For once...Well done Gov't!

That is all....carry on!

Wow, that's pretty cool especially with what the wait used to be.

Nice! Went in for my first CCW at the Tampa office last Tuesday and she said it'd be 2 weeks.

Still not that bad, compared to the horror stories I hear from other regions of the country.

Good on ya!

I called the Regional Office here in Jax to get an appointment for a license, not for a renewal.

Was told the next appointment date was April 18th

Guess Ill have to mail it.

Nice!

That's a far cry from my first renewal in '92.

They improved the system for the good this time. The only issue I had in
Tampa was a lack of parking.

Ouch. If it makes you feel any better, My buddy in Orlando said that the Regional Office down there is about 3-4 months out for new licenses.

I'm sure that like everything else it'll get better after season.

Yep.

The guy at the office told me they do between 40 and 50 appointments per day, and are running almost 2 months behind.
If you call today, your appointment will be late April.

It has mostly to do with the northerners down here right now, he said.

I called the first week in Jan. and was told the earliest appointment was early March.

They should do them at Post Offices like they do passports.
