Up for sale is the 1964 Production Colt M VP marked barrel that I was going to use for my retro 602 Clone build. Alas, I just don't think I'm going to get around to completing the build anytime soon. I've got three other Retro AR's already and this one's been sitting on the work bench for years.

Anyway, on to specifics...

The Barrel is a 1964-65 Production 20" 1:12 Non-Chrome-Lined Barrel Assembly with original FSB swivel, Triangular Handguard Cap, and nice early Grey Handguard-Retaining-Ring. The Barrel is Marked with a "12" on the underside near the muzzle; between the FSB Legs are "M" and "VP" marks, and there is a faint "C" at the 12-O'Clock position on the Barrel Extension. The FSB is a Smooth Forged No-Drain-Hole example with a Round "5-Click" Front sight Assembly. This all adds up to a textbook example of a barrel used in late 602 or early 603 AR-15's. The bore is Not especially bright but there is no pitting and the rifling is sharp.

As for the extras, the barrel comes mounted to a Later CH Forge-Marked M-16A1 Upper with A1 Rear-Sight and A1 Forward Assist. The Port Door is an M-16A2 part and the Gas tube is a Post '69 part. Unfortunatly, the Right hand 'wing' for the rear sight has a crack in it that appears to have been previously repaired. There is also a decent Re-Pop Three-Prong Flash-Hider on the Muzzle. I've had this assembled on one of my lowers and the whole thing shoots well together.

On to Pics...

I haven't seen one of these barrels around for a long time, so I'm asking $450 shipped to your door in the lower 48. If I don't see any movement in a while, on the GunBroker it goes...

I prefer payment via PP, if that works for you, I will send you a money-request to get around the anti-gun silliness.

Bump...

Best way to contact me is via PM on here. I can only access my AR15-linked email from work.

This is going on the GB at the end of the week...
