new info on the guitar it is a woodbody

Welcome to our forum.

Your guitar is a 1941 National 'Woodbody' Lap Steel and was made by Valco in Chicago. It has the same body as a 'Chicagoan' and a 'Supreme', but this model is not one of those.

It is a nice guitar with a GREAT sounding pickup. These are the pickups that people take out and use in Stratocasters and Telecasters to make Ry Cooder-style slide guitars.

I'll take it at $100 and like we discussed by phone, we'll figure out a cheap way to ship it down here to Beaumont.

And don't worry about seeing if it works since my steel player says he knows how to work on them.

Thanks

Arrived today in good shape.

Thanks for the quick shipping.

I got it cleaned up and plugged in.

Everything works great.

Calling National guitars tomorrow to get replacement tuner buttons.

I might even end up finding out who "BK" is.
