CR123 batteries?

The G2X Tactical would be my suggestion. It's small, lightweight, impact resistant, etc. Definitely go LED. Nobody is even really making incandescent lights anymore. LED's are way more robust and produce a much brighter output. I suggest the tactical model of the G2X because it is single stage and therefore will give you the most light right up front. You won't have to screw around with clicking through stages to get the output you want.
