THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT Send me your black stock, handguard, pistol grip and I'll refish them for you. You'll get your same parts back with a hand-done, custom, hard & durable finish that replicates the very early brown mottled bakelite furniture. The handguards are done both inside and out. I also offer a darker maroon-brown color (see photo at the very bottom for comparison) if you are interested in a different shade. In that picture, the marron-brown is the top handguard and the standard brown is the bottom handguard. I personally do all of the work––by hand; the results are very nice. I have many satisfied customers! Prices are: $80 per buttstock $80 per pair of handguards $25 per pistol grip $20 per bayonet handle Return shipping is an extra $9.00 for a stock, $9.00 for a pair of handguards, $6 on pistol grips and bayonet handles, or $14.00 for a complete set. Depending on the backlog, I normally turn parts in 10 business days or less (plus shipping time). For an additional charge, I can cover the brown mottled finish with the correct color of green and weather it to give it a model 601 look (two pictures below show the "weathered" 601 green over mottled brown). Email me for details on this. I can do varying amounts of "weathering." I'll work with you to get the look you're after. If you want a custom color (a different shade of brown, or a plum AK47 color, green and brown "camo", pink and purple, or even red, white, and blue!), please contact me. I can work this out. Please contact me at jntmjt1@yahoo.com and we will work out the logistics. I can provide tons of references if you desire, or you can do a google search for "John Thomas" and "AR15", that will bring up a bunch of reviews. Also, I offer other "retro" parts and services (including anodizing and parkerizing, front sight base mounting, barrels cut/threaded, muzzle deviced pinned/welded, etc). If you'd like, I can email a copy of my catalog/price list to you upon request. Thanks, John Thomas jntmjt1@yahoo.com

I'm curious, could you do this to a carbine buttstock? Or is that just a weird suggestion?
Like I said I'm just curious. |

John:
Your work shown on AR 15.com is really great. I have and original PG and stock and If i send these to you with a black set of HGS can you do the green stock for me to "match" my set––if so how much? Is there a group price for doing all three black parts, PG, HGs and Stock in brown as a set ––i see your individual prices–– Thanks––you are a real artist! Bill |
