1986 Monte Carlo SS body NOT STREET LEGAL!!! This is a drag race car with no VIN! Interior gutted but has a roll cage and single racing seat with expired harness for drag racing. Body is wired for 6 circuits into cockpit area at shifter. Has manual Autometer oil pressure and temp gauges and Autometer Tachometer with shift light. Fuel lines are -8AN braided stainless from front to rear (Earl's brand) with a 5 gallon fuel cell in trunk and an electric fuel pump mounted underneath trunk area. There is a manual fuel shutoff between fuel cell and fuel line. The battery and tray have been relocated to the trunk area and the car is completely wired to the front with 2 gauge battery cable and all connections are heat shrunk. Car currently has 400ci SBC and a Powerglide 2 speed automatic transmission. The powerglide does have a Transbrake, but is not currently wired up. The transmission has 0 (zero) runs and is newly installed. Converter is a Dacco 3500 stall. Engine is standard bore SBC 400ci with Eagle cast iron crank, 5.7 rods, and TRW Forged dome pistons. The rotating assembly was balanced by Wade Bryant (Bowman, GA) before engine was assembled. Camshaft is a Lunati .515/.515 bracket master II with stock hydraulic lifters. Heads are Chevy "double hump" 300HP heads with 2.02 intake, 1.60 exhaust valves, freshly rebuilt with new .600 lift springs. The intake valves are stainless and brand new. Intake is an Edelbrock Super Victor. Front cover and valve covers are polished aluminum. The water pump is a Proform electric pump. The radiator is a universal Griffin aluminum 2 row 31 inches wide with a 16" electric fan. With first engine in car, engine never ran above 180 degrees with fan and water pump on at same time. The current engine has no carburetor and has not been started since built and installed. Car is wired with MSD ignition including 6AL box and MSD probillet distributor for SBC. Starter on engine is stock ministarter off 1996 Vortec engine. New flywheel and balancer were installed on engine. Headers are painted Flowtech for G-bodies. Rear suspension has lakewood 50/50 drag shocks and Moroso trick springs. The carrier is supposedly an Eaton posi unit with 3.73:1 richmond gears. I have not opened the rear end for verification. Axles are Mosier with long studs front and rear. Wheels and tires are Weld draglites, 15x8 rear, 15x3.5 front, with Mickey Thompson ET Street slicks on rear 12.5x26x15 and Mickey Thompson Sportsman front runners 26x5x15 on front. Front suspension is completely stock and has not been touched at this time. Also have a brand new Harwood fiberglass lift off cowl induction hood that goes with the car, along with a better passenger’s side door than the one currently hung on the car. There are two brand new fenders and a new SS nose already installed on the car. I have the SS spoiler for the trunk and the lower valance for the bottom of the SS nose as well. The only body parts missing are the lower fender extensions that connect to the front lower SS nose. I have close to $8,000.00 invested in this build and have lost interest. My loss is your gain. The car is very near completion leaving the front suspension, carburetor, shifter, and paint and body as the major obstacles left to complete. I encourage face to face visit to see the car before purchasing just so you can see what you are buying. I will email pictures to interested persons upon request of any part you wish to see. The car is in Elberton, GA. I work day time hours and I usually get home between 5 and 6 PM eastern time. You can call me for appointments to view the car, to make offers, request pictures, or for questions. Asking $4000.00. You can't build it that cheap. Email me at jgaddy923@gmail.com. Serious inquiries only. 706-988-3270 Jason.
