I filed a stolen weapon report with ATF. Since it wasn't insured USPS doesn't care.

I work for the USPS & even if it was insured they still wouldnt care. I have seen them deny claims numerous times.

I hate to say it, but I think that might be a good idea. I hate the idea of putting so many people out of work, I know most employees are probably decent people. These incidences however, destroy people's faith in the ability of the USPS to deliver (pun intended). Now would be a nice time to install surveillance equipment in all post offices without the workers knowing and then rooting out the thieves and prosecuting them to the full limits of the law. That would help restore some accountability IMO. Every firearm stolen is another one the antigunners will be able to use against us as soon as a crime is committed with the gun. Too bad the ATF doesn't know how to do it's job, otherwise this would be right up their alley. |

Fedex or UPS with full insurance is only smart way to send firearms or valuable items
I'm a ebay powerseller and anything of value that goes postal service only goes if i can insure it from a second company not the usps.. they don't give a shit about it whether its got insurance or not. USPS is going down and its probably a good thing, maybe i new system can arise from the ashes. |

The US.Gov should run the postal orifice like they do ammunition plants...
award a private contractor to run the thing. The union would be abolished, and every ones position and pay would be re-evaluated. Top heavy management would be a thing of the past. All facilities and equipment would still be US property.. |
