THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT Smith Enterprise match conditioned Norinco M14: –– Receiver marked “U.S. Rifle, 7.62 MM M-14, SMITH ENT.” on heel as shown in photo below –– Barrel marked SEI, 308 WIN, 7 99 –– TRW USGI bolt –– Op rod marked HRA –– Trigger group marked DM (?) –– NM sights (hooded rear sight aperture) –– USGI glass-bedded walnut stock with DOD stamps –– NM modified flash hider (no bayonet lug) –– Very dark parkerized finish Rifle appears to have had the full Smith Enterprise “Match Grade U.S.” conditioning package as noted on Page 199 of Lee Emerson’s “M14 Rifle History and Development” (easily found with an internet search); this package included receiver heat treatment, glass bedding, rifle phosphate coating, unitized and polished gas system, firing mechanism tune up, installation of a Smith Enterprise supplied American made barrel and USGI bolt, and receiver heel marking. Photos are below. I’m not the original owner and didn’t have Smith Enterprise do the work noted above. I don't know how many rounds have been fired, but the rifle is in very nice shape and appears to have seen little use. I’m embarrassed to admit that I’ve never fired this rifle – too many .308s, that’s why I’m selling it. Price: $1500 $1400 plus shipping, includes one USGI CMI magazine and USGI OD canvas sling. Only cash, USPS money order, or certified bank check accepted. FTF transaction possible in Arizona. An out of state buyer must have an FFL willing to receive a firearm directly from me or be willing to pay for FFL services on my end. BTT with reduced price and edits to provide additional info regarding parts in response to some inquiries. For the price of a new Springfield you can get an SEI-built rifle with a forged heat-treated receiver and USGI parts.
