This is a HRA Garand that I assembled from a Correct Barreled Receiver
The following parts are the Correct marked HRA:
Receiver
Barrel
Bolt Op Rod
Gas Screw
The Complete Trigger Assembly
Elevation knob
Windage knob is DRC which was used and is correct for HRA Rifles
Buttplate was made by Killeen Machine Tool which is correct for HRA and IHC rifles
Stock is 1/2 DOD HRA stock. Wood was slightly compressed where the trigger assembly sets so I stained and glued in thin strips of walnut veneer. Lock up is now Tight which has positive affect on accuracy. Veneer cannot be seen when assembly is installed
Handguards and gas cylinder are USGI but unknown manufacture
Rear handguard has small tight crack that isnt really noticable, you have to look to see it
Gas lock is PB and could be easily changed ,if you do so all marked parts would then be HRA
Barreled Receiver has been refinished and is in very good condition.
Bore is excellent with MW just under 2 and TW less than 3
Alittle wear to the finish on other parts as can be seen in the pics, absolutly no rust or pitting anywhere
Rifle has been carefully assembled, headspace checked, all parts inspected, properly grease and new Orion 7 Op Rod spring installed.
This rifle is a nice shooter, if you have any questions or need more pics just ask
CMP is now out of Correct Grades but when they did have them they were $1150.00, you can get this almost Correct Grade for $925.00 REDUCED$900.00 plus shipping to your FFL or will ship to Curio Relics holders or FTF to Ohio residents
