THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
From time to time I used to get respectable offers, and that's fine & good, but lately it's been this scenario:

A-hole buyer: "I saw your ad for the (insert here) and I'll take it pending pictures."

Me: OK where did you see the ad and what's your user-name, then I send pictures, and answer questions.

Then the replys come back on how it's not this or that and "I can only go XXX. shipped" which is in one case was two hundred dollars LESS than asking, plus shipping!

WTF! first they lead you off with a pseudo acceptance of "I'll take it IF... or pending pictures" so they can claim to be the first in line.
Then they ask for you bottom dollar, then come back with substantially less than your bottom dollar, then get all pissy or refuse to answer your replies.

Watch and pay close attention to the techniques used on these pawn broker shows, see how people try and use them on you.....glamorize it all you want, when I was growing up Pawn Shops/Brokers were seen as less than respectable businesses.....I can't say there's ever been one that I came out of not feeling like I needed a shower & confession.
Agree or not It's MY opinion, and I'm fed up with people trying to bend me over, especially when I go out of my way to be less and less as asshole every day.

You shouldn't let it bother you. It's the internet. I've had people offer me less than half of my asking price before. It's not that hard to click on the delete button.

Post pics with the ad, post what you really will take for it and the word " firm" , or you are simply inviting exactly what you are getting.

I would consider the buyer as a welcher if he said he will take it and then PM asking for further discount.

Dont sweat it, I have been offered "an entire package of omaha steaks" for a gun part I had on the EE. Trust me I thought about it for awhile. I really didn't consider it a lowball offer, just a weird offer .

I just get tired of being jerked around; it's not how I treat others and expect no less of others.

I can understand your frustration. Yeah, you can write "firm" in the ad or delete the inquiry, but it's almost become comical.
