THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Due to having an incredibly bad experience with another board member, can we PLEASE put a time limit on transactions that take place in the EE on here?!?! That way there is a clear rule in affect, and everyone will know exactly how much time they have when dealing with transaction on the EE. I'm 110% in favor of, say a 72 hour grace time when it comes to communications and payment towards items on the EE. I understand you are not obligated by rules on the EE to sell an item to the first person who lays claim to it, but on some level there is a moral and ethical commitment. Please just take a look at this idea moderators and see what you can come up with, as I think it would make things run much more smoothly on here.

Thank You for your time!

You can sell to anyone

Or not.

Just a reminder.

If you are in a hurry for money..... Deal with the most eager to pay. And explain to the folks who bitch that you didn't hear from them in time. And late payments ..... The get no feed back.

You hear that WFJ?

The 2nd Amendment is not about rights. It is about CAPABILITY. It is about ensuring the capability to respond to violence, and oppression. Not with 1 round, or 10, but with the full force of indignant violence deserved at a breach of our peace.

That will be one more thing to fck things up. Set timelines and a commicate to make things work. That's all that is needed.

Those Sellers that want the money now state so.

More rules are not the answers to lifes woes.
Hey, wait a minute, there's no birthday party for me here!

It's not a matter of being in a hurry for money.... it's a matter of handling your business in a timely manner. And how can you expect to sit and wait for communications/ payment from the 1st person to lay claim to an item, while others are lined up waiting to purchase and pay? It's amazing that this is an issues, because it seems EVERYWHERE else I purchase an item from, they expect prompt payment.....or at least communication on the payment!.... If I buy an item on ebay and the seller says they require immediate payment, then I pay immediately. The 48-72 hour communication/ payment window would be in the best interest of all parties involved!!!

Oho you are all eBay / papaled up.....

You want liquid transactions.... Sorry bro.

I don't pay pal. I ain't alone. And I do not need speed. Reasonable 3-7 day work day delivery of funds in my sweet spot....My wallet.

This is a EE, a swap meet/garage sale On-Line. It's a bit laid back. It is not a place to make supplemental income on a regular basis.

It isn't.

Supplemental income???? I have no idea why you are bring this thought into the equation, as it has no relevance in the situation. I'm not on here as a dealer, or selling items for a profit.... I'm merely an individual, who on rare occasion sells an item off that I no longer need/ want/ or use.... and on top of that my prices are more than reasonable, and often times a steal! I just think the idea of a time limit on pending transactions on the EE would be a reasonably relevant idea for the moderators to toy around with.

My wife just reminded me that I need to stop feeding the Trolls on here. Hope the moderators at least ponder my idea.... I've said my point and brought my concerns to the surface. Now I'm finished and will no longer respond to any posts regarding this matter.

DoubleStar...you need to listen to the people who reply to you.

Listen closely YOU CAN SELL TO WHOMEVER YOU WANT.

You DO NOT have to sell to the first person who says "i'll take it." In fact...you can ignore them completely. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Sell to someone with high feedback and your worries will be mostly relieved.

Every situation is different...there is no clear cut time frame for any transaction. If you allow me to pay with paypal I send payment within a few hours. If you say money order it will probably be a week or possibly a week and a half before you get it. Just the way it is.

If I'm at work and I'm on a big case you aren't going to get a reply to your IM or email for a few hours. That's just how its going to be.
