As anyone who's shot a suppressed AR-15 knows, suppressors produce a large amount of blowback which is extremely irritating to the eyes and nose! Regardless of Piston, Direct Impingement, or Switchblock operation, most of the blowback user's experience originates from the chamber! Given that suppressors act by trapping and slowly releasing propellant gasses, a lot of gas is still present in the barrel and suppressor when extraction occurs. The violent action of extraction and ejection of brass sends propellant gasses rushing back into the receivers of rifles... and into user's faces. It is hard to stay on target when you can't see your target due to stinging propellant gasses irritating the Mk 1 Mod 0 eyeball! The AR Gas Vent is a simply device which replaces your forward assist, and gives escaping blowback gasses a place to go away from your eyes, nose, and face in general. Given the behavior of high speed gasses, this device has proven to be extremely successful and popular with people who use suppressed weaponry over the last 2 years. We've sold a number to SWAT officers and Private Military Contractors for duty use, and have heard only positive feedback: these devices greatly enhance shootability by redirecting eye irritating blowback gasses! Enhance the practicality of your suppressed AR15 today with an AR Gas Vent!

Welcome to Arfcom Sixgunshorty!
You must be referring to Philip Dater, a person who I respect and admire greatly given his status as the original founder of AWC and Gemtech, and as well as one of the most respected suppressor experts in the world today, "PHD" on this forum. Got to meet him at SHOT Show this past year, as well as Mr. Harris... but missed out on meeting Kel, who was a coworker with my old boss at Weapon Safety Inc. Was a pleasure, I am a big fan of Gemtech products as they are frequently featured in my photos. I bring this up, because if you name drop, I too can name drop Now I am quite knowledgeable on suppressors myself, through my frequent use of them: I shoot about 20,000 rounds a year, and most of my weapons are suppressed. If you are saying you've never encountered chamber blowback, I simply do not believe you Aside from testimony from SWAT cops, Private Military Contractors, and fans of suppresssors in the civilian shooting community, I also come to you with video evidence of gas blow back. Just 2-3 shots on an overgassed system is enough to cause major annoyance. I offer a 100% Money Back Guarantee on the Gas Vents, and will gladly refund you 100% if you find it does not do exactly as advertised and make suppressed shooting much, much more enjoyable. Lastly, I have to advise you that you are doing what is called "stomping", ie, talking shit about my product.... which is very funny, since you've never even used my product, and claim that a well documented phenomena does not exist. Gee, I guess the US Army doesn't know what they are talking about, even though the Picatinny arsenal has mentioned gas blow back negatively affecting user's shooting capability since the very, very first M-16A1 sound suppressors. The rules of this forum, should you read them, include the following: 11. Absolutely no stomping on other peoples' posts! Do not remark in any way that would negatively impact the sale of someone’s merchandise. This can result in your account being locked.
Please take this under advisement! On the other hand, I am all about feedback, so if anyone has any negative feedback about the AR Gas Vent, feel free to post on my industry forum, facebook, or message me directly about it. I have never. ever. heard negative feedback about this item from users who've tried it! |
