THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Tried to contact Classic Arms by phone for over a week with no answer....They also do not have a answering machine to get back to you with.
So I contacted my FFL and ordered an AK they had on site and showed in stock and still does BTW....My FFL faxed the copy of there FFL to them and I thought I would be the new owner of nice AK......
I check my status online and it says VOIDED out of stock.....
Not once did they contact me back regarding any of this and even make an effort to save a customer that went out of his way to try and purchase a firearm from them..
My business is going elsewhere and I thought I would give you all a heads up not to trust the online availability of this dealer.

Lack of communication can be very frustrating. I am guessing you are looking at a 10/63? You didn't specify in your post.
You may want to look at Henderson Defense. I haven't seen any postings here from them in a while, but they use to sell great Romanians. I just looked at their site and it shows that they have one left. It looks like a lot of other places are out right now. Good luck finding what you are looking for.

VERY small place...right up the road from me (literally). I ordered 4 PSL mags...took them almost a week to go from "on order" to "shipped". I ordered on 2-13 and received them today 2-27. So two weeks for a 4 pound box shipped 25 miles. They have "ok" deals...nothing amazing. I waited all last week for the "unlisted Mauser deals" when they posted them Friday almost 1/3rd were already listed as sold. Why list them then? Also....uh...Mitchell Mausers kicks the poo out of their 'deals'. I am satisfied with my PSL mag purchase but of the 4...two were nice, one was ok, and one will have to be brushed and painted. see pic. I didn't see anything else that would compell me to buy from them again.

They don't reply to emails either. Business must be good if they can afford NOT to answer the phone or emails. Think I'll stay away from these guys.

Sorry to hear about the bad service. I haven't purchased from them but had seen their website and thought they were set up pretty well. I seem to recall reading something about a new owner. Hopefully they can get there act together as news seems to travel fast on this fancy interweb.

I have ordered 3 pistols and 2 rifles plus some ammo from them over the last 8 months with no issues whatsover after the change in ownership/management. Prior to that placed an order, and was never notified it was all out of stock until I called after waiting a while. From then on, five orders completed and one pending with zero problems. Seem GTG now.

I totally agree. I was ready to drop a more than a little coin with these guys on several items, but if they can't even reply to an email nor phone call, then my business is (and did) go to another vendor who does care about returning/answering the emails/phone calls.

The new owner Gus took over for Ben almost 2 years ago now.

CS was not a problem when Ben was around, I ordered from them on a monthly basis w/o ever encountering an issue. Since Gus took over I have spoken to him on at least 7 different occasions where I explained to him the amount of folks we have on here complaining about Classic Arms services (and rightfully so).

I turned Gus on to a senior staff member to possibly start an account on here, basically to promote his business and listen to the gun community in an attempt to clear his name. He told me he was going to do it and that he would come on here because he understands how many folks frequent AR15. He never made the steps necessary to become an Industry Partner and therefore he will continue to get sloppy results from his employees. QC all the way around the board seems to be a huge theme since he has taken ownership; it's actually a damn shame. I can honestly say I don't order from them anymore and I had been doing business with CA for over 6 years

Maybe I have been lucky so far. Ordered another rifle over the weekend, so will let you know if any problems come up. I have always placed the orders over the internet without direct phone contact, nor have I ever tried to send them an e-mail. It did PO me when I placed my first order and waited, waited, then called and they said they were out of stock. They should have notified me. Then the website went down with the big hubbub about "new management" starting. All my orders that I received with no problems were after that time.

Recently ordered several rifles from Classic via telephone & didn't have any trouble getting through, other than a busy signal once. I did the phone order thing 'cause their website looks slow to update & wanted to make sure the stuff was in stock. Seems to me they're not up to speed on the technology front based on problems others are having with them. Obviously, other vendors are much more on board with the instantaneous service we've come to expect from the internet.

Can't believe I used to snail mail in orders and wait almost a month for product to arrive ........................

No comms, slow service, and know very little about modern small arms. Nice people, but that doesn't make up for their shortcomings. I order from them when there is an irresistable deal, but there always seems to be some degree of chaos or misunderstanding on their end.
I am a slave to my creations.... my image cannot be seen in them, but they bear my heart and soul - evl....

Their site says today they will be closed tomorrow doing training on new website and ordering system. We will see what happens. The rifle I ordered online Sunday is on the truck today. I too use them only for certain "deals", some items they have good pricing on. Others not so much.

I ordered a WASR-10 from them recently. At first I called them to see how much shipping would be. The lady doesn’t seem to know what I’m talking about, and said $16.95 for shipping. So I called them again to place the order the next day, different lady told me she doesn’t know how much shipping would be until it processed. Meaning I won’t know until my card was charged! I thought that was stupid, not knowing how much I would end up paying.

But anyway it turn out to be $25. I won’t probably order much from them.

I will believe all of this when it actually happens, Gus has been promising what you speak of since he took over the business. Honestly, I do hope I am proved wrong.

Tried to order a Swiss K1911 carbine on Feb 10. I had never ordered from them before, so I knew from the website that I needed to mail in a hard copy of my C&R license. I called just to make sure they had them in stock. When I asked the woman on the phone, all she said when I asked if they were in stock was "No." silence. so I ask if they have any of the three other Swiss rifles listed on their website. Answer: "We don't have any in stock." No offer of when they might ever have them in stock again. I hung up disgusted.

As of today (March 1) they still have all Swiss rifles listed on their web page. If you click on the 'order online' link, it shows that K1911s are in stock in their online catalog. So either they don't care about updating their website, or they gave me bad information. Either way, I don't think I would try ordering from them again unless I couldn't find the same item somewhere else.

I ordered a Draco pistol from them. Came in about a week later with a horribly canted gas block. I called and talked with Ben, (he was still there a while after Gus bought him out) and he exchanged it for a perfect specimen.

Prior to Ben leaving, I had bought probably 5 firearms from them when they had great deals going on. Got my Romanian AES-10B from them for $379. Haven't bought from them in about 2 years. I hope they improve, they do have some pretty good deals every once and a while.

Ben is still around usually helping with their website. Last time I ordered from Gus was about a year ago, I ordered a Romy AK and paid extra for a handpick that they don't even offer in the first place but he was willing to pick out the best of 10 for me. We agreed he would send me one that does not have canted sights, that was my only request. I went to my FFL to get it and upon taking it out of the box the rear sight was canted all to hell. I called him and explained I was denying the transfer due to the heavily canted sights.

I then asked him what happened about our conversation where he was going to hand pick one that did not have canted sights. He expressed to me the hand pick option he never followed through with which he promised to do himself. Ben then asked me "do you have a rubber mallet, because you can hit the rear sight pretty hard a few times and it will straighten right out." I laughed and further told him I wouldn't be beating my rear sight with a mallet on a brand new rifle and further this explains why I paid for a hand pick option. He accepted the rifle back and paid for the return shipping back to him. That was my last experience ordering through them and I won't be doing it anymore. To many other good dealers out there to deal with this type of horrible CS and QC.

Some people and myself ordered parts from Classic ARms. here is out stories. first almost everyone else in the Colorado Forum canceled their orders after these people blatantly lied and lied and lied to them. Saying it was in stock, then they had shipped it, and never had actually had the product in stock or shipped it.

my story. I call ask if the two rifle kits are in stock and ready to ship. they respond yes. I place the order immediately. their website says they usually ship within 24 hours and will send a tracking number. a few days go by. my wife calls and asks for the tracking number. sorry, we havent shipped yet. a few days later, i contact them. o we shipped your order. a week later two buttstocks show up. no uppers, WTF. we contact them they start treating us like shit. they say Oh our new girl made a mistake. right. I said well ship my damn order. its not instock is what happened, we ended up fighting with them for a couple weeks before the kits finally arrived. all the while they lied to us, and told us their phone lines were down, and blah, blah, blah.

bottom line, they are pieces of shit. in my book. at least if you screw up, admit it. dont lie and lie and lie about it.

plus, if you order online, you dont find out what shipping costs. well not until after they charge your credit card. their website sucks, their company sucks, their shipping sucks, their lieing sucks, their overuse of christianity on their website is hilarious, when every conversation with them they are lieing to you and makine you out to be the bad guy. way to be a good christian guys.

Classic Arms screwed me out of $50 for shipping charges (there and back) on a piece of shit Romanian SKS I had to send back to them. It was the first order I ever placed through them, and it will be the last. I don't remember the exact details of the purchase because it was maybe a year ago, but I paid for a good condition Romy SKS and got a scarred hunk of shit. I don't remember all the issues with it except that there was a name or initials carved into the stock. They should've reimbursed me the $50 i paid for shipping because what i received was nothing close to what they advertised. Not too long after the SKS went back, I saw the same one (almost positive) on their website for a reduced price of $219 (or $229) vs the $289 I paid. All of the issues were stated in the ad. No refund, no sorry, nothing. Never again!

I ordered on on Thursday, they informed me all they had were the hand pick in excellent condition. Hopefully what shows up will look something like yours. It is supposed to ship today.

They made him pay extra for "hand pick" because all they have left are nice ones? That isn't what "hand pick" means!

I have been recommending classic arms to people for several years now just because their website seems to have a good selection but no more...I'm going to get off their stupid email list too. That mauser deal last week was crap.

I'll throw something else out there..

Recently ordered 2 Saiga 7.62's from them. When looking at the invoice, I noticed that I was quoted something like $26 shipping and was charged $62..

I called Classic immediately and the lady on the phone refunded the difference and then some, back to me instantly.

I will note, that while I was trying to order these guns from them, I had to make several calls to verify my FFL info was making it to them and the same lady was fairly rude to me on each phone call, almost to the point that I was going to order somewhere else. I gave it one last night, and kinda flung the attitude right back at her, and she relaxed and became almost jovial with me and was a pleasure to deal with. LOL.

I have 2 Mini-Draco's on BO with them right now.. I guess we'll see..

I've ordered a couple of C&R items through Classic Arms and I've had similar experiences. Their website is a train wreck. I don't understand how they can't give you an estimate of the shipping charge when you order. In my cases, it turned out not to be excessive (around $20-25, I think) but I basically ordered on blind faith. I never got a tracking number and when I called to check on it, I spoke to the same surly lady that you guys described.

In their defense, both rifles have been great and the shipment was reasonably fast (less than a week from order to door). But they desperately need to upgrade their web software.

While communication was almost non-existent, I still ordered a couple of rifles from them, and got them very fast, shipping charges were cheap, and the rifles themselves are just fine. Communication could be better and the website is very strange, looks like somebody's old Geocities site But they came through with great service otherwise, I would order again.

Funny; I ordered one of their Vepr's in 5.45 about 3 weeks ago; exactly the same thing...Lady told me "$16.95"; and on the phone had a tone to her voice like she really didn't give a rats ass about anything...

(Who is this 'RUDE ass employee anyway, they really need to FIRE her...) It ended up costing $25 to ship which is actually about right from NC to MT... must be their help; I haven't ordered from them for almost a year before this; (usually deal w/ Jerry's, Zanders or RSR), they used to be super nice on the phone.

I've probably ordered around 40 rifles & handguns from them in the last ten years- seems to me, if I remember right the new owners were a couple from Pennsylvania & took over about the Dec. (during the last big gun rush), right after O'worthless got elected.

I remember talking to the guy's wife (she was running their CS Dept.) about returning some F'd up Century Yugo SKS's they shipped me, & wishing them luck in their new business....The rifles were advertised as "VG+" but the ones I got (all six) were more like Fair to Good CRAP....No charge for the returns & original shipping was refunded; I'm really wondering why they have gone so far downhill; as they were a really good company to do business w/ in the past...

it must be the trade as it seems a few of the places I have dealt with on the phone pertaining to buying C&R things always have at least one surly woman on the other end. Some you can break thru the ice with and they become nice and very helpful by the end of the call.

Mine was a little less than a year ago with a C&R Yugo M57. Of course the website (if you can call it that) listed it as in stock. After 3 weeks of waiting and a call, the truth is that they NEVER HAD THEM IN STOCK. Order cancelled.

Classic Arms has some seriously poor customer service.

Ordered a hand-picked Tula Hex Mosin in December 2011 when they were in stock.

Still have not received the rifle, and the order is currently shown as active/pending when I log in.

I called them a couple times to see where the heck my order was, and of course the gun was, and I guess still is, out of stock.

At least they have ever charged my credit card (I think).

Maybe one of these days that Mosin will show up at my door, better be a good one...

Seriously though, I guess I should cancel that order and do business elsewhere.

I went out of my way to with the idea of stopping by and purchasing several guns on my C&R licenses; called and they said that I couldn't stop by as they didn't have a showroom; I said that I'd give them the items and just pick them up, I wasn't looking to shop or cherry pick. NOPE! wasn't happening.
Then she said that there was a dealer that they'd call over and he'd transfer my purchases for $35. each.....fuck them.
They proclaim Christianity all over their web site, but there was nothing Christian, hospitable, of forgiving about anything they said or did.
I'll never do business with them again strictly on principle, too bad because they have/had nice stuff at decent prices.
Edited to add this occurred in December or 2011 and I tried to contact them to let the owner know how I felt over the way things were handled, but never got any response.....so much for staying at the Holiday Inn (which we did stay at right there in the same town.

Wow, hate it for you guys.....I've ordered from Classic several times in the past, just recently got an AES-10B. All were shipped when they said they were going to, all showed up as excpected. No hiccups, products looked good. I will agree the women on the phone at times were less that pleasant, but just the same, they always answered during business hours?
