Six weeks ago I made a deal with johnQpublik for some items I was selling (2 flashlights and a kahr magazine)
He stated he sent payment (money order) though it never arrived. After two weeks, he indicated that he was going to the post office to "try again"
Now I had told him I was willing to be patient as long as he was going to follow through. I suggested that he run a trace on the MO and even offered to wait until USPS would refund his MO if that was an issue, again as long as his word was good.
After the email a month ago about "trying again", I have had zero contact from him.
About a week ago I began sending him IM's asking for a status update on our deal. Despite being logged into the site, I never recieved a response.

Finally on 10/4/09, I sent the following IM to johnQpublik
This is my third IM I have sent you. Despite you having logged in, I can only assume that you are choosing to no longer go through with our deal.
It has been a month since your last contact with me. It has been six weeks since we came to a deal.

I have been very patient to this point while you deal with the post office. Your last message from a month ago alluded to sending payment again. To this date I have not recieved anything.

Please let me know where we stand on this deal. If you are going to continue on with it, please let me know when you will send payment.

He did finally respond to this IM on 10/5/09
I had completely forgotten about it. No further info from them.
As of now I am writing it off as a loss. And due to recent medical issues arising with my daughter, I will have to forgo pursuing this deal any further as I do not know yet what the condition is and will be needing to concentrate on that.

I dont know this man nor his family, but perhaps his daughter is having some issues. If that is the case I can only wish them the best. BUT, this in no way inexcuses 6 weeks of stringing me along as well as ignoring my request for a status update on his part. I have been nothing but understanding and have attempted to accodomate any needs he had with getting payment to me, to include waiting the 60 days USPS requires before they will refund a MO.

I dont think that this is the way to treat people and it has left a pretty sour taste in my mouth.

Sorry for your bad experience and your absolutely right that is no way to treat people here. The lost MO thing has been used many times in the past couple of months. I think unless he can send Mods/Staff a copy of the receipt for that lost MO then think he should be banned. Just my .02

His EE privledges were suspended for this.
