Bob,
Sorry to tell you this, but I am going to have to rescind my offer. My son took a hit last night playing baseball and the eyeglasses that need to be replaced kind of ate my gun money up.
Again I apologize for any inconvenience.

Excellent. I dont get out of work until 11 tonight so I will get the FFL info to you tomorrow.

Ups would probably be best for shipping.
Thanks,
Sam

Sent an IM earlier just thought you may get this quicker.

Would you take $350 shipped to get it out?

Thanks, Sam

Did he ever reply after you told him it would be $400 and not the $350 he offered?

It looks like you have since changed the price to $385 shipped in the ad.

I did not change the add price. He made a lower offer that I accepted. I said I would insure it for $400. Where do you get any of this shit?

Your communications have the timeline showing he offered $350 shipped.

You offered $400 shipped.

You have no other communications until he said he was backing out.

RIF

I will ship it ups ground insured at $400= I will ship it ups ground, insured for $400. Insurance is for 400 the reasonable replacment value, I had accepted his offer. You are reading what you want to see. RIF

ETA I just got an offer for 375 shipped and turned it down. Instead I told him it would be the 350 I was welched on, LOL. It is pending sold again. I will insure it for $400 not sell it for 400 it will be insured at that, Any confusion?

$50 for shipping insurance, you gotta be F*n sh*ttin us. Got it

You can't post a negative feedback thread and then try to sell the product before this is resolved. How do you expect buyer to try to resolve the issue if you already sold it?

I understood that he had accepted my offer and was going to mark the insured value at $400. That was clear to me. The issue was that my sons sye glasses were broken last night and I did not find out about it until this morning as I work nights. I do sincerley appologize for any inconvenience, but I put my families needs before my hobbies. Again I appologize for being a responsible parent and putting my kids needs over my wants.

EE Rules:

Buyers 末 Be 100% sure that you can financially afford to purchase an item before offering to do so. If you back out of a deal AFTER you've agreed to buy from a particular seller, your account MAY BE LOCKED

If you don't have money saved up to cover an unplanned event-sons glasses/car transmission/tires/hot water tank/etc... you really have no business buying stuff.
Anything not under government control is,by definition, out of control.

And you are wrong. I can sell to whom I wish. It has been paid for at the same price as the first deal by another member. I was offered more by him but I somehow have honor and offered he pay me less to equal the first deal that was welched on. I could have made an additional $25

You are correct in that you can sell to whom you wish when it comes to making an initial deal. When it comes to a negative feedback thread the purpose is to get a positive outcome to the situation. Even if the other member was 100% not going to go through with the deal he can't at this point because you've moved on to another buyer.

Welching is taken very seriously on the EE. When you make a commitment you must follow through. As to the family situation, if your finances are that tight you should not be on the EE at all.
As to the seller selling the item. It is very difficult to resolve an issue like this if the seller has sold the item which of course means that the welcher cannot make good. In this case the buyer ( welcher ) admits that he welched and his words indicate to me that he would not follow through even if the item was still available.
I will be asking for an account lock on the buyer with a warning to the seller here and all sellers, if you expect us to resolve these issues you cannot sell the item until you give the welcher a chance to redeem himself.
