I did get a pm, as well as a email from paypal, however I stated in the post with using paypal "gifted" only, I also with every pm and email asked for it to be gift option only, he has sent a regular paypal payment , I refunded it and have asked him to please resend it as agreed in the post as well as stated in the pms and emails.
Thank you for the help with communication . I hope to hear back shortly so we can square up, again . Thank you guys as always |

Thank you guys as always While the gift option does save you guys from paying the fee, it also provides no protection to the buyer. If he sends you the money and you screw him (not saying you would, just making a case), he really has no way to make a claim unless he explains that the two of you were trying to cheat the system. From what I've seen, that usually ends up with both parties having their accounts locked on PP. Usually easier just to build an extra couple bucks into your price so PP gets their cut, buyer is protected, and you still get the full amount you were wanting. Just my .02. Goodluck |

I really appreciate your input, your more than welcome to sell anything you like and you can request any form of payment you wish. I'm not asking for advise on online payments. I'm trying to square up a transaction to the agreed method and amount. I send money daily and I mean daily for online transactions and before I post to agree to purchase anything I read the listing to make sure I understand what the seller is requesting. I trust in the rules laid out on arfcom because this board unlike many others actually moderate things.
As far as people getting screwed, that's why I'm taking it to the proper section and requesting help with communication to expedite things. I have been fortunate to have had great dealings on all the boards. Im not worried things will not work out, people seem to just reply when the mods contact them. It's why they are inplace and it works! This is one of the few forums avaiable that actually have real checks and balances. The buyer has been very nice when responding and I think he's just overwhelmed presently with other things going on. I'm pretty confident he's a good guy and will come through as promised. I lost communication and requested to gain help. Originally Posted By BiggEZ:
