THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT The Aviator and the Project 1. This was on a Thursday (July 12th) and said he would contact me early the next week. He did not contact me again, so I finally send him a note to see what was up six days later. He ignored that, so I asked him once more and let him know that I was going to move this to the feedback forum. After that he contacted me and said he would get things going that night after he has a good internet connect. That was almost a week ago (July 19). Enough is enough, I am tired of trying to work through this with him and not getting any response. These emails are listed from oldest to newest so it is easy to read: On Jul 12, 2012, at 1:56 PM, <buyer> wrote: Greetings, I am interested in some of your Reeve one knives. If I take at least two, what can you do on the Aviator and the Project One. I have bought a few recently, most of them between 300.00 & 400.00 depending on condition and if they have the box. Im also looking for the Nkonka and Ubejane. Thank you, Brad From: "MTAR15" <seller> To: "<buyer>" Subject: AR15.Com Email :: PolygonalGuy :: One Piece Reeves Date: Thu, Jul 12, 2012 9:35 pm Brad, Thanks for the interest. I'd be willing to go $850 for those two. I'm not too concerned if they don't sell quickly. These have been increasing in value year on year and I believe this will continue. Thanks again Ron On Jul 13, 2012, at 7:47 PM, <buyer> wrote: Hi Ron, Thank you for the mail. That is a good price on the pair. I should be able to swing them both. I want the Project for a user and the Aviator for my Dad for a B day present. Ill drop you a mail the first of the week. On Jul 19, 2012, at 8:09 PM, <seller> wrote: Ron, I apologize for not getting back sooner. We have been held over on a job and I am trying to get some leave so I can get home and pay bills and move cash out of savings to pay you. I don't want to hold you up on the pieces so I'll try and nail down my C/O for solid timeframe. I only have my phone for internet so when we come in I can use the router with the phone before we crash. Take care, Brad On Jul 21, 2012, at 7:00 PM, MTAR15 <seller> wrote: Brad, Not sure where to go from here. What's your situation now? Ron This is my last email to him on Monday at 9:15pm: Brad, I'm sending one last note before giving up and moving to the feedback forum. What do you want to do to take care of this? Ron I then gave him a day and a half to respond. Nothing. Now that I have been dicking with him for 2 weeks I am running into a pinch shipping. I am two weeks in Europe, so I need to get this done in the next day or two of I will not be able to ship quickly. I think I have been patient enough on this one, I need it resolved. Thanks |

Did he ever commit to a sale?
All he said was "I should be able to swing them both" unless I missed something that doesn't seem like a deal. He mentions getting back in contact with him later and never really establishes contact again. The seller himself said in his first reply to the buyer that he wasn't in a hurry...doesn't seem like the possible buyer is either. |

I dont see a firm deal.
I see a "should be able to swing them both" and a "trying to get some leave..." I can easily read this as he wasnt able to swing them and couldnt get the time off. Because there was no unconditional acceptance I think there is enough wiggle room on this to call it a jump ball. The OP says he's in no hurry to sell the knives and they appreciate in value every year so aside from the annoyance IMHO I would have let it go. YMMV |

YMMV I think if the he shared your view he would have chimed in when he logged on. |
