Original add was 600 rounds for $100. After I agreed to purchase, OP changed add to 500 for $100. Upon arrival to pickup the ammo, OP had 5 boxes that appeared to be 100 round Winchester and 2 - 50 round boxes of Remington. He said one of the boxes of Winchester was "a little light." I opened the box and it had approximately 8 rounds of 9mm and a few 22 shells. At first he did not want to change the price. We finally agreed on $90 for the lot. I then paid him and opened the 2 Remington boxes and noticed that the firing caps had strikes. I pulled a few of them out and all were empty shells. 1 of the Remington boxes was not even filled with empty shells. I asked for my money back and he promptly returned it. OP did email me after leaving to say sorry. Now the ad shows 450 rounds for $100.

I am not accusing the OP of anything. I am just stating the facts of how my experience went today.

FYI.

I'm moving this here to Feedback because of some issues that have come to light about this ad.
Hansan: "This is a .30 caliber, gas operated, clip fed, semi-automatic rifle....."
Soldier: "Look, you ain't sellin it to me, you're only showing me how it works."

If you don't mind me asking, why add this qualifier?

The seller was obviously intent on scamming someone. You were simply fortunate that you chose a FTF transaction.

His account should be banned. Period.

I purchased 3 pistols and 2100rds of 9mm from him (2 separate purchases). He gave me excellent deals on both the pistols and ammo. He even gave me other extra stuffs. I don't think he has any intention of trying to scam anyone. If you met him in person, you should understand the situation (can't mention it here) and if something is not as listed, he will make the adjustment to compensate for the error. I am giving him an A+++ for the two FTF deals.

I think at this point you can mention whatever it is that would help us understand the situation.

Sorry. Bullshit.

Unless this guy has mechanical arms, he'd know whether a box contained loaded or unloaded ammo just by picking it up. A full 100rd value pack vs a 100rd Value Pack box with a couple empty pistol cases and a few 22Lrs tossed in weigh nothing alike.

If he actually does have mechanical arms then I'll apologize.

After checking the edit of the ad, it seems that the seller did edit the amount of the ammo sold, after the deal was completed.

I'm awaiting to see the response of the seller.

Sorry if there is any confusion with my positive feedback for citizen. The feedback was for the ads posted a few weeks back.

That has nothing to do with it. It is odd that you JUST added the feedback after this thread was started but that isn't what the above poster is discussing.

The seller (and all sellers posting ads) should be aware that Staff can recover the original ad text regardless of an edit.

I met him in person and don't know of any situation. As I stated in my first post, after finding out the box was "light", he offered the adjustment of nothing. He kept saying it is 2 cents a round. I offered $10 less thinking there was at least 500 rounds and we agreed on $90. It wasn't until I picked up and then opened the 2 Remington boxes that I noticed they were filled with empty shells.

I also forgot to mention that during our call that morning before we met, he asked me how many rounds were listed in the ad. I told him it said 600 and he said it might be less. I told him that I did not want the deal if it was less. He said it must be right because he counted them. We agreed to meet at 1100. I drove the 35 minutes from my house to meet him and then he tells me that the number is "light." By light he must have meant around 95 rounds and that was before opening the 2 empty boxes of Remington which made it "light" by 200 rounds. So he wasted my time by telling me the count was right but he must have known it was not. Even now his ad shows 450 rounds for $100. He didn't even have 450 rounds when I met him.

If that isn't screwing someone on purpose, I don't know what is.

Whatever the mysterious "situation" is with this guy, NOTHING would excuse this.

I sure am glad he welched on me. Would hate to have to try straightening this out long distance.

I did leave -1 feedback. Don't know it it shows up yet or not!

FOR EVERYONE:
I APOLOGIZE FOR ANY ERRORS IN THE AD; I WAS TRYING TO PACK TO MOVE WHILE DOING THIS.
I WOULD NOT SCREW ANYONE; AND AM IN MY 60'S. LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO PLAY GAMES.
I HAVE DIABETES AND HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, AND DO LOSE MY FOCUS.
I REFUSED TO SELL TO "NICK" AS SOON AS AMMO COUNT WAS DISCOVERED.
PLEASE FORGIVE ME; I DO JUST GET CONFUSED.

Was this ever figured out? He has an advertisement he posted today for a bunch of guns at low prices and I was just curious.

I think this is now a moot point since no sale was made.

However, I will be keeping an eye on the seller, he seems to be unable to sell items without an issue arising.
