HK used the tungsten filings to control bolt bounce in the original design.  If you can provide info on how that's dealt with on the MKE guns, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks
Wes

Man, those MKE guns come with a tons of stuff. My Vector V-94 I bought from you guys came with one HK mag, a manual, and in a cardboard box. Too late after it has been SBR'ed!

It's a semi-auto carrier.   The gun won't take a full auto carrier because of the blocking bar so I don't think this matters.

It speaks to the level of small details MKE followed on the HK design for one.

But....there is a reason you use a buffer with weights that move in a semi auto AR...Bolt Bounce...Same reason HK put the filings in the bolt carrier.  From a functional standpoint it ensures the bolt and carrier stay in the fully forward postion once the bolt closes and locks.

Translation: Unless you are a SOT, these won't be running with a sear or registered pack.

Not correct.
I've two MKE sear host guns, and they work flawlessly with my registered sear.
You just need to weld in semi shelf prior to removing the carrier block.

I can tell you the one I own, which is an older ATI gun, seems to have a tungsten filled BC. I can't speak to it's function in FA use as I've got a German carrier installed for that. The bolt face also appears to be machined to the Action 3 or F profile.
