Now my MP5 is complete. Until I can afford a SEAR later in life. This is one of the ones that DJ Getz was selling at cost (Special Weapons). I did fubar the gun a bit removing the stupid pinned Faux suppressor. Plans for the gun include a refinish in RAL 8000 to be different. |

I got my fake can off (after getting my stamp) with a dremel and rubber mallet. I dremeled around the pin until i could grab it with pliers and pull it free. Then I started pulling on the can by hand. It would wiggle but not come free. I held it under my arm and whacked it with a rubber mallet until it came loose.
Checked to make sure barrel was still aligned with dowel rod and checked bolt gap. Everything was GTG. |
