Looking at purchasing a HK93. In excellent condition what is a fair price? Would like a collapsible stock, bipod and carry handle but not necessary. GB has a few but range from $3000- $5000.

Watch for roller marks in the rails when purchasing a 93. Seems to most common in the 5.56 models. For $3k it should be damn nice.

A shooter grade A3 went on Hkpro for about $2300 recently. It took awhile to sell.

All the ones I can find recently, are listed towards $3K.

ETA:

I recently went the MKE route, but it seems to be a money pit.

I picked up this 1982 vintage HK93 in January for $2200.  It came with two magazines, a bipod, and a bayonet.

You're like likely to find one that nice for $2200, at least not on the internet. There's one on sturm now for $2700.

Believe it or not, I found that HK93 on Gunbroker.  The seller was relatively new, and the listing didn't have any pictures or a lot of details.  Deals are out there.  You just have to keep looking and be ready to pounce when you find one.

Bought mine 2 weeks ago for $2700. '83 date. Came with hard case, bipod and 1 magazine. Finish is 100% other than claw marks for scope mount.

And those will still be there next month and the month after that etc etc.

The market seems to have softened a little.$3000 should get you one like new,$2800 should get you a excellent one and $2600 good condition.Just be patient and look here and over at HKPRO.I've seen quite a few sit for awhile before they sold.

Thanks man, I'll have to do that. I'm very picky so the 93 I buy will have to be almost 100%. I bought a HK94 about 4 years ago. I drove 7hrs one way to get it. It was NIB condition. I got it for $3200.

You sir, win the internet for today!

The guys selling them NIB with the Styrofoam, factory target, etc etc, never been fired outside of Germany- that's an investment. For something you can actually shoot and not be worried about value, I think $2,800 for >95% condition, is about the tops.

There is one on the EE for $2500, with about $500+ of accessories.

His definition of excellent and my definition are pretty far apart.I'd call that fair or shooter grade with all the scratches/chips out of the finish. With the extra mags it's still a decent deal. One of the 1st things you would do to it is get rid of that awful muzzle break and put on the original flash hider.

Mags are not cheap anymore, especially for 25 and 30rders.... Either are light bipods.

He states the bipod is not included.

True but there are some inexpensive aftermarket mags that work fine for range work where as a few years ago there was factory, aluminum surplus or nothing.

I would only buy one if it had a 178 barrel stamp.

screw 1-11 twist.
