Thinking of getting one of these to do an SBR project. I have not been into HK long guns in years.

Anybody here done one or know what is involved technically to put a full stock on the PTR pistol?

Thanks

Efile, wait 30 days, engrave, receive stamp, push out two pins, slide on new stock, put two pins back in.  Shoot new SBR.

This.

Bought my stock from hkparts.net.

I paper filed as I want a "real" stamp and not an image.

FIFY. The recoil rod of the 51 is telescoped, not solid like a 91. Here's mine with a 53 and AK.

Do I need to do surgery on anything or is there just a parts swap option?

The HK51 recoil/stock set up is just a swap out?

Go with an A2 stock as it's much more enjoyable.  Here are mine:

Fake shroud added to make it 16".
