I ordered a C93 from Bud's - I've heard that they are supposed to be a little better now then all of the issues they were having when they were first being made. Can anyone confirm this?

not your question but I have one that is over 2 years old and it works great.  I've heard the horror stories so maybe i just got lucky but I'm saying there is a chance

I purchased one from Buds a few months ago and could not be happier except I noticed the price dropped, The bolt gap is fine and holding after many rounds. Fit and finish is fine and accuracy is excellent.

Good luck!

I plan I giving it a good cleaning when I get it , what should the bolt gap be?

I believe .010 - .015 when new. It may shrink some after a couple of hundred rounds and then stay in spec.

Bolt gap (when brand new) should be between .014 and .020.

It'll settle as you fire it, probably end up around .010 or .015 like the guy above mentioned.

Too bad lancer or magpul doesn't make some quality mags for them.

I got mine last year and it works great.  Promags work great for me (shocking) but they do.  David

The closest thing you can probably find are the Turkish MKE 30-round polymer magazines; made in similar fashion to the early G36 magazines, which you can connect together...

Century generally makes high quality guns but one slips past with problems now and then.  The problems are what you hear about.
I would expect for every rifle that has functioning problems there are 100 that don't.   My Fal and C93 work fine

I was shooting mine at 400 yards three weeks ago, and I found another aluminum 40 rd mag this weekend for $30

So
.014 gap rifle $599-
F-stock $100
$70 in 3 more 40rd mags
$80 in two steel 25rd mags
$15 for OD green slim hand guards

Total satisfaction - a rife , four 40rd mags, two 25rd mags and slim set of furniture-
A lil under. $900

My favorite rifle.

Don't know if they're getting better, but JG Sales just knocked $200 off their price.

I just received one of these about two days ago in the mail.

Bolt gap is in between .014-.015 before firing. I'll let you know what it looks like when it settles.
