The Z-5P model is analogues to the Hk MP5k-PDW in that its barrel is threaded and has 3 lugs.  However, the threading is not the standard used by Hk
instead of 1/2" x 32 TPI the threading on the Z-5P  barrel is 1/2" x 28 TPI.   It has tabs at the rear of the receiver to keep one of attaching a stock like the
"k" versions made by HK and two pin holes at the rear of the receiver like the "k" made by HK.

So the Z-5P would not be a good candidate for an SBR because the MP5k stocks like this B&T from RTG parts would not fit because of the tabs?  Did I get that right?

Incorrect.

That stock will fit, as will any other designed specifically for the MP5K, like the choate pdw stock.

The one that WON'T fit is the standard MP5 stock with the rails that slide into the receiver grooves.  The K receiver is too short anyway.

The tabs are reinforcement for the receiver since there isn't a bottom piece welded in like on a fullsize MP5.  They are not designed at all to deny use of an MP5 'style' stock, but that's the by-product of them.   An MP5 stock attaches to the receiver in a different way anyhow.
