I'm thinking my next SBR build might be an HK53 clone. I see the C93 pistol out there, and it would seem to be a very easy to convert SBR. Can the cap just be popped off to install a stock, or has it been butchered to comply with ATF nonsense requiring a gunsmith to do something with it?

ETA: How about the Vector V53 pistol? Any special nonsense to install a stock, or can you just pop one on? I'm weighing my SBR options.

Cap just pops off. No modification needed. I'm in the process of this now.

That's awesome. It should cut down on the cost of the process. I figured they screwed with it to prevent someone from popping another stock on. Well, I guess it's time to get everything ready. Thanks for the response!

I did my g3k and my mp5k clone like that, but had built as a pistol from the parts I wanted, then after my form 1, purchased a stock. Easier than a castle nut and damn sure easier than my RRA pistol tube that was on w/ red locktight. My .40 had a fake can, that took some delicate effort to remove.

Nope. Just that easy but make sure you have your form 1 first. It should cycle fine as a pistol as well so you can work out any kinks if they exist.

If its a vector, most parts are going to be US made. Barrel, Trunion, receiver, cocking handle, housing. Possibly - trigger pack, hammer, trigger, sear, forearm.

You could do the cut down I think, shouldnt be an issue, you will have to cut down the carrier, get a new cocking tube (maybe mod it). Not sure if the LP is the same.
