Can they be modified to fit a Scar17?

I bought a couple of Thermold mags. They wouldn't work in my Inch Century receiver. I have a couple of Moses mags that I got used with a different Century FAL I bought. THey are good to go. BTW, Moses has gone underground, leaving a bunch of people with mags paid for but undelivered.

I know people don't like them, but I've been using DSA mags without issue.

Unless someone coughs some up in the EE, you won't be getting any Moses mags.

I've tried the DSA 30rd mags and some work and some don't
I wouldn't trust my life to them
And all 3 of my FALs are from DSA

Figured if their 30rd mags weren't that good then their 20rd mags weren't either

I've only got a couple hundred rounds out of mine, and they are the 20 rounders.  My rifle is not DSA, it's a numbers matching Argy kit on a Coonan receiver with custom serial.  I have seen qc issues on dsa parts before though.

The Thermold mag I have is ok. It a bit hard to click in and does not drop free.  Great for the range.

The 30-round DSA mags have a better reputation than the 20-rounders.

I have the 20 round mag that came with my DSA Para. Works fine, but I have forty surplus mags, so I don't need to chance another. I have yet to try out the 30 rd. mag.

Gunthings has Israeli and Austrian magazines. Keep your eyes peeled on Gunjoker, the EE, and FAL Files Marketplace for surplus mags.

For some great entertainment, read through the Moses mag adventure threads in this forum and in the Reviews section on FAL Files. Regardless of the quality of the product (great), the guy's a fraud.

I had some Thermolds many years ago, and they wouldn't fit in some receivers.

I only use Belgian and Israeli mags now.

I didn't like the thermold mags.

Don't remember the specific problems.

The DSA 20's don't work in my DSA at all. Every surplus is fine as are Moses if you can get them.

I bought a couple Moses mags years ago to try them out.
They work perfectly but it sounds like I won't be getting any more.

DSA mags work flawlessly.  Moses mags did not work so well for me.  Doesn't sound like that matters anymore though.

I have some extra Israeli 20rd mags, what is a fair price these days?

I'd stick with original FN FAL magazines. No better quality or reliability. I bought 5 or 6 DSA magazines (I mixed and matched some 20rd and some 30rd magazines) and they were all not very reliable. I definitely would not trust any to my home defense or other real life purposes when your life is on the line.
