There she is. Imbel receiver built by pacific armament.  I believe it was built on an Argentinian kit.

Going to be a long night trying to figure this thing out. Came with 12 mags

Looks nice. And that ODG is a hell of a lot better looking that that baby shit brown FDE. And cool that it came with 12 mags. I wouldn't be able to shoot it due to the recoil and how bad I screwed up my shoulder. Although wouldn't mind having one just for the hell of it.

Really didn't kick that bad. I had to fire off a few mags when I got home today.
All I had was some 168gr smk loaded up as m118 clones. It cycled like a champ. Fals seem like a deep dark hole of knowledge.

Looks nice OP.

Thinking about adding one to the collection.

What are youre first impressions after shooting it?

No real impressions yet. Was shooting a pond bank at 150yds. And I was able to hit in the vicinity I was aiming.

No targets were harmed during today's events. I'll get it to the range in a few weeks. Ordered a bunch of 147gr fmjs to load up still start shooting paper once I get a few hundred rounds ready

Pacific Armament is the importer of the receiver. To my knowledge they did not assemble complete rifles.
That rifle appears to be all IMBEL. (ETA: Pistol grip is U.S. Made) No doubt a fine rifle. The tell tale signs of an Argentine kit are not present.

Click on this link and buy a 1000 rd case of the German surplus ammo.

FALs are very gentle on the shoulder.

Nice rifle, OP. Those are Austrian StG58 magazine pouches, by the way.

I'll be plucking foam for the next hour or so. Had one of these Italian made explorer cases left over from buying a few in Bragg at a surplus. Italian pelican

Nice. Still learning about mine. After spending years learning about Ar's it's enjoyable to learn a new platform. Only downside is the cost of ammo compared to an Ar-15. But it isn't terrible.

Ammo cost is prohibitive. But I have a chunk of spent brass I've been stashing as I picked it up from the range. 147gr fmjs are $80/500 so I'll be able to feed it cheaper on reloads.

I think the foam came out good. Impatiently waiting to take it to the range.

As stated before, PAC didn't do builds.

If you haven't already, go over to theFALfiles.com and ask around.  Chances are, someone over did the build or knows who did.

If you don't mind, what did you lay down for the FAL and mags?

Price was under $1k for the rifle and mags.
