I recently traded a MSAR (Steyr AUG copy) for a DSA FAL SA 58 rifle with a 16" barrel. It came with a VLTOR handrail, a different muzzle break, 30 magazines, a DSA SA 58 Extreme Duty Scope Mount, and all the stock stuff.

I will be giving it to my son when he comes home on leave at the end of the month. He just completed his 1st year at the US Naval Academy. He plans on commissioning as a USMC officer and going aviation (probably helicopters).

What a very nice gift and I'm sure you are very proud of your son !!

You may want to consider installing an original FAL pistol grip.

Or perhaps a SAW grip.

I guess with all the money you're saving by not paying for college you can afford a few new guns

Very good gift, even for a fly boy.  I wish him well in his training, the marines need good support.

Go Army!

Sick rifle though, I kind of fell in love with the FAL after our history department had a "historical weapons shoot" in which the FAL was one.

Ha! I was prior service Army (82nd Airborne). I won't wear anything from the Naval Academy that says "Go Navy, beat Army."

My son came home on leave in June and we gave it to him then. He loves it!

Very nice gift and excellent on you getting him PLENTY of mags.

I have always wanted a FAL, just could never find the right one.  Please thank your son for his service from me.  My dad was career Army.
