I'm surprised it still has the ejector block. Most kits are missing them. Even more surprising is the safety sear and spring.
Did any of the BGS contract rifles have plain muzzles with bayonet lugs or S-E-D selector markings instead of SF-EF-DF?
BTW, for G1 or BGS rifles, the carry handle is wrong. They used the shorter type with a black ribbed handle.

Back in the day these kits came with receiver saw cut in 3 pieces, all parts included except the rear of the upper receiver and only enough disassembly done to keep small parts away from the saw.
Good catch on the carry handle.
IIRC the BGS rifles were basically a Kanada FAL, early versions had a type A buttstock, wood handguards and carry handles, the metal handguards and bipod came mid-contract. Changes made after the BGS contract and beginning with the G1 included the bare muzzle and the bayonet lug actually was for several quick detach muzzle devices, no bayonet was ever manufactured to fit the G1 barrel because the lug is in an odd position and the type A bayonet won't connect.
I'm not sure on the selector markings but I believe many of the BGS rifles wore S-E-D markings because the lower had been replaced at servicing with a newer one from the G1 parts pool.
