Well, maybe not but it's pretty damn close.

Long story short I bought/traded for two FALs with mixed features and swapped parts until I had an all-inch FAL. They both came with L1A1 barrels and sand-cut bolt carriers but only one came with a true inch upper and lower receiver. There is just something about the inch FAL that conjures images of Northern Ireland, Rhodesia, and South Africa.

Now, who has the best deal on inch mags?

Mosesmag.com has mags that will work. Research your receiver at Arizona response systems.
He has a good write up of the PAWs receivers. Fal files has a ton of information.

It looks like your other FAL has an IMBEL receiver, if so that is a keeper.

I built one just like that many years ago from a kit I paid $175 for and a $199 reciever. That was a long time ago. It was a sweet shooting rifle. Sold it in a fit of stupidity for an absurd amount early in the Ban. That one is one rifle I truly miss.

Love L1A1s.

I also sold my only FAL during the panic, and didn't even make anything.  It was more of a favor to CT to leave it there.

Finally back in the game.

Use this as an excuse to visit LGSs on regular basis: I got an excellent condition British inch pattern mag yesterday, for 15.99. It was only the one, mixed into a box marked "various foreign mags".

I love the L1A1 series.

I have a Lithgow receiver made L1A1.

I love it but I would trade it anyday for one of the LEO Grey market Brit L1A1's from Century.

I wish I could have gotten my shitty Century FAL to run properly

Mother of God those are some nice SLRs!

Growing up overseas as a kid we watched a lot of parades and ceremonies with UN Command and host nation honor guards.  US and Korean troops carried M14s, Commonwealth troops (rotating British and Gurkha units) carried SLRs.
