#1. I have a Fal with an Imbel receiver that needs to be refinished. It was painted by the previous owner.  I just removed all the paint.  It was not the most amount of fun. I am looking to either have somebody do some cerecoat or some kind of pro finish, or do another rattle can finish by me for ten bucks.

#2. I have a folding lower along with most parts to make it a para.   Do I make it fold or keep it straight?

#3. It has a 21" barrel, I believe. Do I cut it to 14.5, 16. Or keep it long?

One issue: I have an AAC 762SD for it and finally found a FAL FH for it.

LMK what you Fal guys think!!!

Thanks in advance,
G

I had the barrel cut down to 18"on my Imbel and converted it to a para.

As it turned out I liked it better as a full size standard stocked rifle.

Put the non-folding lower/stock back on it.

I think the standard stock FAL is more reliable.

I had a lot of trouble with the para recoil springs.

For all your re-finishing and FAL gunsmith needs contact
Arizona Response Systems (Mark Graham). He is the best in the
nation.

I do not recommend going shorter than 17.7" on a FAL barrel.

If you have an full length chrome lined FAL barrel please don't cut it down.
Have it removed and sell or trade it for a shorter barrel.

The un-cut chrome lined barrels are getting hard to find.
