Trijicon TA01-NSN on factory railed Imbel top cover (not a piggy-back rail on top of a cover).   I sold the optic years ago, as it did not perform for me for the type of shooting that I do.  I would not recommend it, and only go with their fiber-optic BAC equipped models.

DSA StG58 built on matching numbers Steyr kit, DSA rail mount, Burris PEPR mount, Millett DMS-1, Duracoat by Woody at Gulf Coast Shooting.  I took the bipod off since we weren't going to be allowed to shoot off them anyway.  I'll be replacing the Millett shortly since the illuminated dot isn't visible in Texas sunlight...even at 11.

Aimpoint Comp C 2x on a A.R.M.S mount on a DSA cover.  I like this much better than the 3-9x I had before.

DSA Stg58 T2.  I prefer the Aimpoint M2 to the 3-9x Nikon I had on it for a while.  I put 4/5 Aussie surplus into one hole dead on the 1" orange dot at 50m last time out.  I am about to eat cookies so I put those in.

Again, some old school attachments.
Our country was the first to adapt the FNC1A1 as our main battle rifle in 1955.

With the very old PAS-4 IR night vision. Issued around 1962ish.

With the Leitz sniper scope.

The last starlight scope to be used with the FNC1A1, PVS-502. Very similar performance as the PVS-4. Issued approx. 1971

And how it should look.

Well if you liked that, then this ought to be good.

I replaced the ACOG with a Vortex PST and added to that a mini red dot sight for close encounters. The new scope didn't work great wih the para stock so I bought an AR style stock from DSA and added a cheek riser from Magpul. She's in the shop right now getting a new paint job. She'll be good to go once I get back from the desert.

It's my Bday gift from my wife, haven't picked it up yet but since I work part time at the store I get to shoot it and added this scope to it yesterday.

I'm assuming that's a 16" barrel, but what muzzle device is that?

Factory DSA.  It works okay, but I'm going to be replacing mine once I get the barrel shortened.

Factory DSA uses short Belgian combo devices and that doesn't look like one. At least that's how my DSA's are.

Here's my DSA SA58 with stock ban era muzzle device

Doesn't look like it would be easy...the left side top would need to be clearanced for the safety selector, as well as the slot that the trigger guard fits into....i may give it a try on one, but have concerns about making it clean.  And those grips are so expensive lol.

Short gas system, and is that an 18" (or the 17.whatever-it-is that the originals had) fluted barrel? How has it run for you guys? Seems like roughly the same ratios as the full length gas system with the standard 21" barrel. Was/is the gas port opened up or anything else need to be tweaked.

Or. Is my math fuzzy and my eyes bad, and I'm just seeing standard short gas 16.25" barrel DSA carbines?
