Very nice shawn! How do you like that rear sight? Is that a chromed para carrier? Did you get it form GPG? I had an inch chrome carrier in my imbel but it was giving me touble (bolt over bullets) so I took it out. It does look cool though.

Thanks David. I love the rear sight. I think it is better than the stock sight. The bolt is not chrome. It's the flash from the camera.
Edit to add: I removed the stock aperature form the rear sight and replaced it with an A2. |
|
|
Cool Ive been thinking about getting one of those sights for my Para. And a bren 30rd mag too

David,
The kit was painted by the owner before I assembled it on the receiver. It is a sand color auto paint. It won't survive if it is sprayed down with brake cleaner, but it does allow one to experiment with different paint schemes or use a temporary pattern.

Nice pic youngkiwi, but your first pic isn't showing up. |

Opps, ok.. It should be there now, with me in the middle....

It's some shitty thing my buddy had laying around. The gun is .223 and accepts m16 mags. He is a commie rifle nut and didn't have any good ones at the time.
Yep and Nope. |

Yeah, It wouldn't feed. The weapon functions and looks tons better with a teflon-finished USGI-type mag.
Sorry to crowd the thread with a bunch of jabber. |

I love the L1A1s. Yours is very nice. Is that the original finish? I'm building one up right now. Wish I had a Lithgow receiver for it! I might just settle for an entreprise. |
||
|
Yes that is the original finish. The rifle was produced by Lithgow in 1972 for the Aussie Militery (It has the Broad Arrow marks). Then it was sold/issued to the Singapore Police Force and eventually ended up here in the states, where I snapped it up from a pawn shop.
