Saw this on the local gun board and was surprised at the cost. I have a CMP Garand but don't know much about which ones are valuable. I don't have the scratch I was just wondering if this is legit.

Probably.

I sold an M1D  a couple of years ago for $3600.
It was the rifle and scope only.  No accessories, box or paperwork.

Someone will probably pay the price.

He has been trying to sell that one for awhile and has actually dropped the price
M1D's in same condition can be bought in the $4000-$4500 range

My username is confusing as I moved east (PA), but that rifle would bring $5k+ most days at the auctions in this area.
