I use the Bassett standard pictinney mount and I really like it. one bolt holds it to the receiver but there are two steel rods that insert into the horizontal and vertical receiver grooves on the side of the receiver. very durable, stays in place and returns to zero perfectly. I could not be happier. It is ugly as hell though...

I especially like the Bassett either the low picatinny or standard because I am one who likes to only use a scope for deer season...the mount is easily mounted and dismounted, when remounted the scope will be very close to zero. I have done this numerous times, works like a charm. I know of no other scope mount that can do this! I have used this mount on various makes of M14 including LRB, Springfield and Armscorp. Works great on all of them.

Yes and I love it! I have had it for close to 3 years now and it is the best scope mount I have used on M1A. I've been able to unmount and mount and with the torque key it torques the same everytime and holds close to zero. The only time I have to rezero the scope is when I switch from my wood stock to my Sage EBR stock but since I am in Kalifornia that doesnt happen often.

I have had mine for two years now, and wouldn't go with any other mount, after having this one.
I have had a Sadlak, and a smith, and the Bassett is hands down the easiest to mount a scope with. Mine has also held it's zero, and has been mounted, and dismounted several times, as I like to change it up from time to time, switching back and forth to the Irons, and a red dot. |

I have the standard "low" mount. The only issue was that I have a match hooded rear aperture. I had to use Extra High rings for the scope to clear the hood. I should have bought the High standard.

I can't tell from the pictures, but does this mount allow for using the iron sights when mounted?

The Bassett high mounts in standard and Picatinny allow use of iron sights.
