What muzzle device and suppressor set up to you have on that rifle.  That is sweet.

Thank you. I'm still shocked that they sent me that one. The only request I made was that it be a Springfield. I think it fits more in the "service grade special" category. I'm glad they give me one with a new, lighter colored ('blonde" as I call it) stock.

My first ever attempt at painting.  Stock was OD green, but I thought I'd give it a try.  Pic was taken at night and indoors.  I made a few mistakes, but learned from my experience:

I still need to get a synthetic stock for my JRA and paint it.

back to basic for my scout, no more suppressor adapter, mk14 sights, scout rail, magpie afg, etc

i want just a standard simple rig, replacing the scout hand guard with a standard one.

Have you shot it yet?  Best iron sighted group at 100 yards I ever shot was with my Garand.  1-3/8" 5 shots.  It was out of the norm though.  LOL.  A scope would definitely help.

With any luck I'll get them out to the range this week.

Not a full report, but did get them out to the range for a basic function checks and get them on paper...

The triggers on both are fantastic... the field grade has a much smoother action the the special grade, but I think that will work itself out with some more rounds.  I was doing some other things on this visit so couldn't dedicate as much time to them as I would have liked, but the next trip will likely be just these... to get them dialed in and shoot some groups...

SAWEEEEEEEET!!!!

You guys are lucky that can shoot indoors.  So if you shoot better than I do, I'm blaming that on the fact that the range I belong to is right on lake Michigan and most of the time it's windy.  Sometimes terribly.  Every once in a while not so much.  A couple weeks ago I was shooting pistols and the wind was so gusty it was hard to keep your arms straight when aiming at the target.  LOL.

Is that 50 yards in there or more?
