I'm looking at maybe purchasing a ACR. I've read somewhere that you can lighten up the front end, can someone elaborate on this?

I've been reading up on ACRs on the ACR forum,,, looks like the barrel would be first then handguard...... for those that cut and flutted their barrels, how much did this run you?

First things first, file a form 1.

The fastest way to drop weight is the handguard, trunion, short barrel, bolt.  In that order.  You can get it under 7 pounds pretty easily with those mods.  I'm trying to get my pdw build to be about 6 pounds but I think 6.2 is the lightest I can get it.
