Tempting but I really dislike mlok

Why do you dislike M-lok?

First I have tried and have both KM and mlok.
For me it is much easier to install accessories on KM... Can anyone provide a weight for the basic handguards vs the ones Buddyhoohaw pictured? I might give it another try... |

It's mounted really far forward and the 4x32 ACOG is not known for it's generous eye relief. |

The coyote rifles are just cerakoted, the black ones are anodized. I scraped the cerakote clean off my rifle where my charging handle is. I was testing/developing my folding charging handles. I plan on stripping my rifle completely, sandblasting it and hitting it with another coat of cerakote to see if it holds better the second time around.

Finally got mine. I refused to go featureless (Re: CA) and so I had my magazine release blocked internally (it's a reversible modification). Same goes for the stock.
So, aesthetically it's identical to any other one. Now I want to get that 16" barrel cut and pinned and welded. I never liked long barrels anyway. ACR by SoloDallas, on Flickr ACR by SoloDallas, on Flickr |

Shot mine (300 rounds) on SoCal BLM land yesterday and it was so nice.
A real pleasure to shoot. I didn't notice much less recoil than my usual AR15s, though I did notice that it has a tendency to not flip much up. Nice. ACR BLM by SoloDallas, on Flickr ACR BLM by SoloDallas, on Flickr |

I just picked up a new ACR Enhanced yesterday. My wife and I saw it at Sportsman's Warehouse last week marked down to $1499. I've always wanted one, but kinda being more into the clone side of things I just never bought one. That price had me thinking about that all week, and then when I saw the $150 rebate from Bushmaster, I was sold
We shot it this morning, it's a slick piece. I really can't believe how impressed I am with it, it just seems well engineered and well thought out. My current plans are either a T2 or a variable 1-6, maybe the new Vortex PST Gen II or a Leupold VX-6 or Mark 6. I'll probably get an M300 scout light as well, and I'll be filing a Form 1 to SBR it this week Quick question, what's a good height mount for this? It seems that the top rail might be a little higher relative to cheek weld than a typical AR, would something like the Larue 660HK (if I get a T2) be more fitting for the ACR? And I understand that the cheek piece is adjustable. Anyway, here's a pic, not like you guys have ever seen a bone-stock ACR before Attached File |

Pretty happy to have been able to find - in my parts bin - a Magpul quick sling detach thing that worked perfectly with my ACR (i.e., to install it onto the plastic hand guard with no whatsoever modification - just fit perfectly). I had to search for two different screws (the originals are too short) of just the perfect length to not collide with the barrel underneath and I was lucky to have them, too. Just perfect.
I don't know why but I don't find the original placement of the quick detach good enough - the gun doesn't seem balanced enough unless the QD is at the end of the handguard. Attached File |

Got it back with barrel chopped (14.7 inches plus pinned and welded standard A2 flash hider), pinned and welded.
Better, definitely better. Not ideal - I like even shorter barrels - but better. ACR 14.7 pinned and welded barrel by SoloDallas, on Flickr |
