Ok building a 223 can next, I want to be able to use it on an AR as well as mostly on 22lr guns-I'd like for it to be light and short- not that worried about db on the 223 as I have another 223 can this one will mostly be 22lr but I want it to be able to stand up to 223 when used.

What type of .22 guns do you want to use it on?

If AR style .22s, a 5 to 6" x 1.5" To kit from DAM should be fine.

If you want to use it on .22 pistols or rifles with low sights, you will want a 1" diameter tube and you are going to run into volume issues when using it in 5.56/.223.

ETA: here's a link to my 5.56 suppressor that turned out pretty good.  Link
