OK, I bought a used Mini-14GB/AC-556 barrel a couple of years ago since it was offered at a good price.  Now I want to strip the front sight/bayonet lug and flash suppressor off of this barrel and add them to my like-new Mini-14 folding stock carbine.

With that said, would it be better to add these parts to my standard Mini-14 and have the barrel threaded to except the flash suppressor OR pay the extra $$$ to have the used GB/AC barrel installed??  Just checking before going with option "A" since I don't think there are any real differences between the two barrels.

Thanks for looking!!

You may want to keep that Mini 14 factory folder in original condition as they are getting up there in value. I would probably just swap barrels providing that the GB barrel bore is in good condition. Then you can convert it back with a barrel swap.

Buy a second rifle...  Despite all of the hate on the mini, people still love 'em and buy the heck out of them.
