Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Mini 14 gap between receiver heel and stock

Just got a new ranch rifle. Blued finish/woof stock model. Overall I'm impressed by the build quality of the gun but I noticed that there is a very noticeable gap between the bottom of the receiver heel and the stock. I know that on M1a and Garand rifles that's not ideal. Is it an issue for the Mini at all?
