If it were ever to be mass produced...Ruger is the one I could see doing it.

I figure a 50 beowulf would be a better choice.  It' specs are similar to the 500 S&W, however it's rim is more extractor friendly.

.480 Ruger would seem to be more logical.

But didn't Ruger recently try to re-launch the .44 Carbine in both a lever and a semiauto?  I don't think either was too terribly popular, unfortunately.

Tony Rumore/Tromix did a .458 SOCOM conversion on the Mini-14 back in 2004.

I could see the .458 SOCOM being the likely one to happen; Ruger could market the crap out of that in the tactical model. I like the idea of the .50 Beowulf too.
