I finally got hooked up with my FFL to pick up my Ranch Rifle yesterday.  I spent some time adding and working on it so it's ready to go to the range tomorrow.
So, Here is my first pic of it.

What I've done so far:  I added a SOCOM length Accu-Strut, swapped out
the rear sight for a Mini200, swapped out the handguard for a Choate
Handguard painted brown, added Wilson 1911 Buffers, did a quick Trigger
Job (polished up the sears only), 'lightened' the Safety Lever (added
hole like M14), and added my spare M1 Carbine Sling.
As to ammo, I've loaded up another 800rds of my precision 62grn (lead
only, no penetrator) and have my 20rd mags all loaded up and ready to
go.  I could mount the picatinny rail it came with and mount a scope but
I'm really about it being a plinker so I will adjust the Mini200 and
see what it does.

While I was modifying the safety lever (adding a hole) which required a full tear
down of the trigger assy, I decided to stone the sears a bit and
slightly decrease the 1st stage pull but past that it's got a lighter trigger
already than the one's I've tried in the Funstores so if anything, I
might just reduce the second stage pull length and call it good.
I'll see how it ejects the brass when I fire it and then decide if I want to rebush the gas port down to .045".  All in all, I couldn't be more happy with it.  Now lets hope it shoots as good as it looks.

Looks great.  I have the Choate flash hider on mine as well as the hand guard.  The hider does a great job at reducing muzzle flash.  Where did you pick up the socom length strut and what did you pay?  I am considering getting one of those to finish off my rifle.

Nice!
Ive been thinking about the mini200 sight.  Ive heard good things.
You may want to try with and without the gas block buffer.  Mine shot horribly with it on.  I think it cause the gas to push the bolt out prematurely. Shot were pretty wild.
Removed it and all was good.  The buffer on receiver end caused no issues, only a tamer ejection and less clanking.

I use the Wilson 1911 buffers both in front and at the rear and they worked very well.

It's a spare M1 Carbine sling I had. Any M1 Carbine sling will be the
same. It takes a bit of work to get in through the loops but it fits
nice when done.  You have to remove the metal tip to fit it through the
loop on the buttstock and you have to bend open the loop on the gas port
to get the clip through and then bend it back straight.
