Any of you threaded and suppressed them?
Is the bbl removable like 77/22? Accuracy? Deer kills or hunting of any kind?
Just bought one off GB so sorry for noobness of questions.
Looking forward to it arriving next week, perhaps you could spare a pic of vid of yours to tide me over?
Mine is headed this way.

Thanks, good read!
I will be using a 9mm Osprey on mine. Might pick up an Octane 9 later.
Interesting to see that other thread showing use of the 246gr HS cast bullets, I used them and the 300gr same company through my 35 REM Contender pistol as subs.

Pffft, ~WHAM~ on steel.
It stabilizes that long pill well with 1:14 twist. 1" group at 50yds with a 2.5x TC Electradot.

Not sure if the 1:16 77/357 will fare as well.

Rifle is here, great feel to it.
I like the stock compared to the canoe paddle type with the inserts.
Bolt release is different than 77/22 and the 77 MKII 243 I own.
Trigger is crap, already have a Volq sear on the way. That really fixed my 77/22's.
Mag does have a little drag on ejection, fidgety pull/wiggle pull some more removal.
Feeding ramp in the mag is very blunt angle, damages the nose on some soft lead JHP's I have tried to chamber.
Getting ready to send it out for bbl threading this week.

Jim Pixley at www.jpgrips.com did my threading and set back front sight.

2-7 BDC scope, I will be setting up the reticle on my range for  a few different sub/super loads. First Vortex glass I have tried, very clear

He also did another Ruger for me. A 4.5" Charger.  3d printed stock and grip that I put too much detail on, did not turn out well. This also has a stock tube that can mount a SIG brace.
I might do another one or just use an extra 1022 stock cut down to pistol shape, got a couple.

first four 130gr Winchester 38 SPL white box stuff

Mini pepper popper at @70yds.

22LR load is Federal 45gr Subs

130gr 38 Special fired from suppressed 77-357 from 125yds. All you hear is the ~WhizZ~ then thunk into the backdrop.

~INCOMING!!!~

That's me in an orange jacket top center of screen up on my 100' high ridge. Very hilly property.

Firing at :11, :31, 1:12 and 1:34 if you want to speed up. They all sound about the same really so just grab the :11 and play it a few times for effect.

And of course some 357 Magnum. 110gr Sierra SHC over some H110, pretty warm.
Found the shed jacket and a few lead splinters.

Got out to do some load testing. This group of ten from fifty yds was 9.7gr lilgun with the 245gr pccb. Fps avg was 1230 so it needs backing down yet. Very stable flight.

New can for it, Octane 9. Working on a big batch to 245gr pills now.

Tried the 7.7gr load with the Octane, same POI/accuracy as the Osprey. Lot more blowback though.

Removed the piston and spacer assembly and went with the fixed mount adapter. Zero blowback, very happy. Love this setup.

My 77/357 finally saw some action yesterday and I am super pumped!  Ohio's youth gun season started yesterday and my 13 year old son wanted to take it to the farm.  At 7:45 yesterday morning he got an opportunity to take his first shot at a deer.  I was not sure about the shot - a little better than 100 yards across a cut bean field, but the deer was perfectly broadside. Just as I was about to ask him if he was confident that he could make the shot,   I heard him flip the safety off, take a good slow breath and boom!  (actually was surprised and how NOT loud the shot was).  He was using my handloads of .357 mag brass, CCI SP primer and a 158 XTP over a near max charge of H-110.  1st shot got a clean pass through high in the lungs and the second shot (he was working the bolt like a pro!) hit him right through the heart on a quartering towards us shot. The deer went down after about 50 yards. I recovered the bullet from shot #2 just under the hide on the other side of the deer when skinning him out - bullet mushroomed perfectly!   I am extremely proud of him for keeping it together and making TWO great shots on his first deer.  I was also happy to see how this little rifle performed.  It absolutely loves this load and will put 5 into a ragged hole at 50 yards and about 1.5 - 2" at 100 yards.  The rifle is cut to 16.5" and threaded and has a 1-4x Leupold VX-Hog scope. (we were not using the suppressor for this hunt - Per Gemtech, it is not rated for full house .357 - only subsonic...)

Thanks for letting me share!

Great thread.  Finally bought one after a few years or trying to resist.  I really like it. Mine isn't too finicky about bullet weights.  The heaviest I've tried are 210 grain pushed to 850 - 1300 fps. I used 2400 but have been tempted to try Lil'Gun, but couldn't find any data for the heavier bullet.

My go to revolver 357 and 38 loads both shoot well.  The AE 158 gr JFP zips out at 1750 fps, about 500 fps faster than my revolvers... The Lee 125 and 158 RF cast bullets both cycle and shoot well out of the 77/357. I did get a little leading with the lighter bullet when I pushed it over 1500 fps (no GC).

Lots of fun and cheap to feed too.

2-1/2yr old Doe, 60yds, Right side hit, quartering away. entered right side mid ribcage, exited leftside front leg, dropped on the spot.
Flopped for 15 seconds while her lungs filled and then was still. Killed quicker than a .243 hit doe last year.

245gr SAECO 352 mold
7.7gr Lil'gun
38 SPL brass
Vortex 2-7 Crossfire BDC
SiCo Octane9
