I'd really like to pick up a Ruger American Ranch in 300 blackout as a dedicated suppressor host but can't find one in sick anywhere. Why are they so scarce? Does anyone have a lead on where I might find one?

No idea why they are so scarce along with the Predator.  However Cabelas has a new flyer coming out with sales starting tomorrow on both the Predator and the Ranch.  I just checked the Arizona flyer and it is the same as the Colorado flyer.  It wouldn't make sense to advertise both rifles if they hadn't built up some stock.  Give them a call.

Yep. Got the flyer. I've been calling Cabela's twice a day for the past week to check stock. No RARR. Predators or Savage 10T .what a waste! Why even send out a flyer!

I just called my local Cabelas, and they didn't have the 6.5 Creedmoor Predator in stock, but they were expecting two to come in from Ruger within the next few days for the sale.  He said there are no guarantees based on Ruger shipping, but they did put in orders for everything.  So whether the Ranch is more scarce than some of the predators, I don't know, but don't completely give up hope.

Well they didn't have an American Ranch, but I picked up an American Predator in .308!

They are new & must be running behind.  Grice Gun Shop is taking $50 deposits

I bought my predator 308 last november I believe, and love it! Though I haven't seen any since then though. I'm in that group of people looking for a ranch in 300 blackout as well but no luck finding one so far.

Picked up my 6.5 Creedmoor Predator and 308 Predator from Cabelas today.  Talking to the Cabelas rep, they had contracted with Ruger to have delivery for all of the variations, but Ruger is obviously running behind so not all of the orders were filled.

It actually took me much longer to get the extra magazines I ordered from Ruger than to get the rifle itself... You're in AZ, not sure if you're in the Valley or not but if so contact Merchant Firearms, they had mine in about two weeks and the price was fair, they also held 200 rounds of .300BLK for me until my rifle came in and gave me a hell of a deal on Barnes 110gr. TAC-TX. I ordered it in late October and had it by the 3rd of November. Not sure what else could be going on now other than the fact that they've caught on and popularity has grown significantly so demand is surpassing supply.

Shameless plug to rub the salt in the wounds:

Not sure what the deal is with Ruger, i have called them 4 times and was told 4 different stories on this rifle. The first man said they make a run of these every week. The next said they will not make a run untill they get enough orders. Another said they have no idea when they will make any that they don't even show up on the computer. The last one said that they have no idea they only get updates every 2 weeks and to contact the distributors they would know more. When I said well that would be ok but every single distributor is out of stock and sure enough the guy looked and said there were 0 avaliable I am not sure if Ruger's marketing team is way ahead of production or what. Heck we can't even find a Predator version around here and they were out before the Ranch.

That's just ridiculous. I've given up on finding this rifle anytime soon.

New products.  I'd assume production delays.

I'm interested in these in the future.  300blk, 30-06, 5.56mm for me please.

Well, I can't believe it, but I actually found an American Ranch in 300 Blackout on Gunbroker today. It was either $385 for a starting bid, or $425 buy it now. I did the buy it now because I've really been wanting this gun. Now to decide on an optic and mount. Looks like they"re starting to get in the wild, so keep an eye out.

I'm waiting on one as well. My dealer has had a 6970 on order for me since late January. If it doesn't get here in the next couple of months or so, a Rem 700 version may make its way to my safe. I am also wondering what Ruger is thinking...Every gun forum I go to has people wanting them.

I've also been eyeballing the NEF single shot in 300blk. I just don't think I'd be happy with a sigle shot though. Anyone have one to share their thoughts?  I'm concerned about accuracy and build quality as well.

Ordered and picked mine up in 556 two weeks ago. Havent even taken it out of the box yet

I had an availability notice pop up on my computer from Gallery of Guns.  Even with responding instantly it was gone already.  My guess is that they are just getting one gun and some peoples emails arrive earlier than mine.

Mine due to arrive from Ky Gun Co tomorrow.  My hunting partner's one is due to arrive Monday.  Thanks for posting about Ky Gun Co having them.  We both have the short stock ones coming, as we often night hog hunt from his electric buggy, so prefer short handy rifles.

$297 out the door locally.  Want a 77/44 but it's nearly triple that price by the time you have the barrel threaded($735 out the door, and not threaded).  Fo time?  I don't like the stock(the color or the plastic aspect) but it seems like a bargain if the interweb is to be believed.

I bailed (due the scarcity of the 300blk model locally) and ended up getting a Savage MK II that was on sale at Cabela's. I'm still on the hunt. Hopefully when I've saved up again, they will be around.

Picked up a FDE 300bo RARR Saturday at a local gunshop.  They had at least one more in stock.

It was Mace sporting goods in Mebane for anyone local looking for one.

Sounded great with my Harvester mounted and I was pinging steel on Sunday at 300yds.  Accuracy was suprisingly good, the weather was awful so I will shoot for legitimate groups on another weekend.  Those 35-45mph gusts just aren't good conditions.

125gr nosler BT handloads.

How do you like that Alpha? The eye relief seemed a bit finicky on the one I looked at in the store.

I picked up a Revolution/Tac for my American Blackout but haven't mounted it yet. It is advertised as having 36 moa of hash marks (18 marks at 2 moa each), which seemed like a good choice for lobbing subsonic rounds.

Haven't had it to the range yet, but just mounting and bore sighting I'm really pleased, especially for the price. I would agree that at full magnification if may be a bit finicky, but again for $59 can't complain too much.
