I got a look at the 5.56 GSR today. I am favorably impressed. The fit and finish looks good for a tactical bolt action with a laminated stock. It feels sturdy and nothing tinkles or rattles. I got a look at the magazine and THERE IS plenty of room to load long. For those of us who hand load I can see the regular use of 77 + grain bullets. Here again, the only issue is barrel length. The 16 inch would be great for standard GI ball ammo but to take advantage of the 1/8 twist and longer bullets, I think an 18 is the minimum and 20 inch would be better. I feel better about the whole rifle now that I have seen one. $850 out the door with one magazine. kwg
