When Washington state changed the law regarding SBRs, I went a little nuts, and got 3 underway almost immediately. When everything is put together, I'll have one in .40 s&w (because I can, that's why), one in 9mm and one in .300 blackout. Naturally, one's thoughts eventually turn to suppressors, and I'm trying to decide whether the 9mm or the .300 bo will be the better suppressor host in the long run. I suppose the AR15.com answer will be 'both', but pretend for a moment that you are trying (not very successfully) to keep the cost of your hobby within reason. After all, home renovation is a pretty expensive hobby, too.

Thoughts?

Get the 9mm can. As long as you run subs you can shoot .300 through it. But you need to be really careful, 1 super sonic round can reck your can.

Liberty Mystic X will work with both.  Several other 9mm cans out there that are rated for rifle calibers as well.

Get a pistol can that can do 300 subs..

But it seems you're looking for an Octane 45 for all 3 of your builds. I have one pending since 6/3 for use with my 9mm sbr build, but I am going to see how my newly built 300 will like putting subs through it too.

Difinatlety the 9k if only one can, you can shoot supers and subs through it while most others are subs only.

This.  Size wise it's a great rifle can and an ok pistol can. It suppresses pretty good too.

The big question is whether or not you want to shoot the .40 suppressed. If you don't, the Omega 9K is the way to go. If you do, then you've got a wide variety of .45 cans on the market that would work.

Subsonic 9MM is much cheaper than subsonic 300BO.

And quieter. Get the Omega 9K and forget about suppressing .40. Easily the best option in my experience.

Obvious answer, especially if cost is a factor: custom 40 cal Form 1 silencer.
