I prefer the 11.5s over 10.5 or 12.5 myself too. Can't put a scientific reason to it, but they just feel better balanced to me. For a few deployments my personal BCM 11.5 came with me and was used in place of my 10.5 and 14.5 uppers.Attachment Attached File

@khadafy

Photobucket shafted us a few weeks ago, you can't use it now without paying like $400 a year.

It's all good, just passing along the info.

There are a few other hot linking sites that still work.

I purposely avoid the sections where I may see an MP5, because everytime I do, I want one.

Thanks a lot, pal.

I really like that KAC.

We need to get Mr. G attention if we really want it.

Your 11" rail in a 12.5" barrel is the right length.

Finally took the plunge.  My local dealer had a KAC SR-15E3 MOD 2 CQB MLOK in (previously only ever seen Keymod) so I pulled the trigger.

Now the 8-12 month wait....................

After only a short amount of trigger time I have to agree with the OP. I won't be ditching any of my other short barrels (10.3"/10.5"/12"/13"/14.5") but the 11.5" is my favorite do-all.

I'm guessing it might work but be prepared to pony up for an adjustable gas block, if you have the time and patience I say go for it and see what happens
