Guys,

Working up another Form 1 and want to do it right.  I will hold off until I call DMPS on Monday.  I'm curious if it is needed to include the "k" DPMS marks on their stripped lowers.  The "k" is stamped in the lower right after the serial number on the lower receiver.  It kin of looks out of place and not like it's part of the serial number.  Anyone submit a Form 1 on one of these before??  I can't recall if my initial paperwork when purchasing this lower included the "k" or not.  I've been searching the web and haven't found any threads on this.  If I missed one, and this has been discussed prior, a link would be great.

I would hate for a rejection for including it or not including it.

Yes, the K is part of the serial number. You're correct that DPMS marks it on receivers they ship stripped. There is not supposed to be a space before the K, so do not include a space.

+1  DPMS lowers shipped as other than complete firearms are identified with a K on the end of the serial number.

ETA and it doesn't matter what spaces you add in or don't - ATF compresses the serial numbers in the registry to remove whitespace.

Send them a registration form for "S2 20011 1999"?  It'll be in the registry as S2200111999.

Along these same lines for a Form 1 SBR on a DPMS lower....

...do I need to put "D.P.M.S." or "DPMS Panther Arms" for the manufacturer?   Both are on the lower receiver.
